The premiere of 8 selected Istanbul Express workshop films will take place at the Cannes Critics' Week, 19th May, at 11am (Espace Miramar)The filmmakers will be present in Cannes for the event, and will accompany their films at the Short Film Corner during the whole festival!

Members representing the entire NISI MASA network were present at the Early Melons International Student Film Festival in Bratislava (Slovakia) from the 18th - 20th March, for the occasion of our annual General Assembly.
Early Melons shows a diverse selection of Slovak and foreign student films. One of its basic aims is to enrich the offer of audiovisual cultural events in Slovakia and get Slovak audiences closer to the phenomenon of student cinematography. The Early Melons project aims to encourage cultural exchange and partnership between different countries and schools.

After filmmaking explorations of Paris, Istanbul, Kars and Budapest, the NISI MASA “Visions Of” workshop went to Prague, from 22nd to 29th of August 2010. Prague is a place of history and a crossroad of culture. More and more young people are travelling around Europe. But they don’t often really go into the city itself and its social and cultural diversity. This meeting aimed to go further that the tourist point of view and make the young people reflect about the European diversity thanks to the social cross-road that could represent a city and the exchange between young people.
Script&Pitch - Writer's Room call for participants
Script&Pitch Workshops (now under the header of TorinoFilmLab Training), in collaboration with Power to the Pixel, has launched a new call for participants for Writer's Room, a workshop focusing on the dynamics of developing a pre-selected transmedia project in a team.
The project at the centre of this year’s workshop is written and developed by Michel Reilhac (Head of ARTE France Cinema). The selected participants will work together under the tutorship of story editor Gino Ventriglia during a period of 10 months, attending 3 residential workshops in March (Sweden), June (France) and November (Italy) 2011.
Istanbul Express launched on 20th September
Our biggest filmmaking workshop ever - Istanbul Express - Exploring Multilingualism across Europe was launched on the 20th of September. 45 young European filmmakers are now travelling the continent during 3 weeks, making their way towards the Turkish capital!

NISI MASA has been partner of the Script&Pitch initiative since its beginnings in 2005.
Script&Pitch Workshops is an advanced development course for European scriptwriters and story editors. Candidates from the rest of the world can apply as well through Script&Pitch Workshops International.
Call for participants: Nisimazine IDFA 2010
CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS NISIMAZINE IDFA 2010
The second edition of Nisimazine IDFA will be held from the 18th of November untill the 26th of November 2010 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, during the 23rd edition of the biggest documentary festival in the world!
We are inviting 12 young Europeans to cover the festival during a 10 days workshop, in total making 7 print issues of Nisimazine as well as publishing on www.nisimazine.eu.
Istanbul Express participants announced
The 45 participants have been selected! They will start their journey from 3 different points of departure towards Istanbul on the 20th of September.
All together we recieved 139 applications and we must say that the selection process was not an easy one.
All of the participants will be contacted within this week with further information.

Scamps - production now completed

Ülkü Oktay was one of the three winners of Nisi Masa Script Contest 2008 with her scripts Scamps.
Scamps tells a travel adventure set in Eastern Turkey through the eyes of two young schoolboys. A "feel-good" story that gives beautiful insights into the country and its culture. Ülkü Oktay is finalising post-production.
