NISI MASA – European Network of Young Cinema is looking for 3 interns / volunteers to work on next and big projects of the Network. We are looking for dynamic and creative people, with a passion for cinema, and with NISI MASA spirit!

- Graphic Designer:
NISI MASA is looking for a very creative intern Graphic Designer.
The intern will take care of the design of website, as well as the graphic design of all the NISI MASA publications.
He/ She must have graphic design tools knowledge and lots of creativity!
- Mas y Mas Manager:
Mas y Mas is NISI MASA monthly newsletter, focused on a different theme each month and read by a thousand of people each month.
NISI MASA is looking for an intern who can take care of its edition every month. The intern would be in charge of choosing the monthly theme, proposing topics for articles and compelling them to edit the magazine.
Communication / Journalism studies and passion for cinema are required!
- Assistant Project Manger of the event GENERATOR: Youth Audiovisual Forum
NISI MASA is working in a big project: “GENERATOR: Youth Audiovisual forum” in Strasbourg in January, and we have a lot to do!
NISI MASA is looking for a French intern, with a good knowledge of English and in some way related with Strasbourg (do you live there? do you know the city? do you have friends there?), to assist the project managers.
The intern would help the project managers finding funding for the project, looking for partners and co-organizing the event.

NISI MASA Estonia is pleased to announce that they are organizing for the second time, Nisimazine Tallinn. The workshop take place from 17th to 25th of November in Tallinn, Estonia, during the biggest film festival in Estonia: Black Night’s Film Festival
This project involves a film journalism workshop for international young film critics and their mentors. The team of 9 writers, 1 video blogger, 1 web designer and 3 photographers from European countries aged 18-30 will be covering the film festival’s programme through unique newsletters that will be sent out to Nisimazine readers around the globe.
At Nisimazine Tallinn, the participants cover the festival in the traditional Nisimazine frames of review, in focus articles, portraits, interviews and of course many photos depicting the best moments of the festival. In addition to daily newsletters, all the texts will be published online in the official Nisimazine website.
As usual in Nisimazine, editing and publishing processes will be led by experienced mentors Mirona Nicola (Romania) for writers and Johanna Kinnari (Finland) for photographers. Nisimazine is a great opportunity to develop professional skills in film journalism, meet new people with the same interest, and, of course, explore and enjoy the variety of the festival’s programme.

CALL FOR PROJECTS
Our friends from Torino Film Lab have just launched two calls for participants for their Script&Pitch and the Writer’s Room. Grab a pen and a paper and get ready to apply!
SCRIPT&PITCH
One more year, TorinoFilmLab, in partnership with NISI MASA and Le Groupe Ouest, organized a new edition of Script&Pitch, an advanced script development course for scriptwriters and directors of feature films all over the world.
TorinoFilmLab is looking for 16 projects, which will be developed in a 9 months-course (from March to November 2013, including 3 residential workshops and 2 on line sessions. The course will follow the entire scriptwriting process and will end with a final pitch in front of film professionals (producers, distributors, etc), which will take place during the Meeting Event in November 2013, during the next Torino Film Festival.
Script&Picth is open to professional scriptwriters, writer-directors, as well as to writer-producers and development executives with a good knowledge of English, as it’s the working language of all Script&Picth workshops and meetings.

- First residential workshop: 11-17 March 2013 (location to be confirmed)
- Second residential workshop: 16-22 June 2013 (Brignogan, France)
- Third residential workshop and Meeting Event: 21-27 November 2013 (Turin, Italy)

WRITER’S ROOM
This year, and in collaboration with Power to the Pixel, TorinoFilmLab offers the Writer’s Room, focused on the process of developing two transmedia projects within a team framework. There will be two call for applications:
Call for transmedia projects:
Two transmedia projects will be selected to participate in the Writer’s Room 2013. The projects considered eligible must be fiction-based narrative and extend to more than one platform. In addition to the 2 authors with projects, 3 transmedia developers will be selected to join the workshop process, thereby completing the Writer’s Room team.
The team will work together under the guidance of tutor and story editor Gino Ventriglia, plus additional trainers with background in i.e and game development.
The Writer’s Room is aimed at professionals working across different platforms and media, such as story architects, games writers, audience engagement designers, online content developers, writers (script, TV, journalists etc.) and producers, who have experience within cross-media production.

BREAKING SHORTS - STUDENT COMPETITION
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! 
Breaking Ground, our member from the Netherlands, is getting ready for the new season and it is yet again time for a new student competition, co-organized by the Go Short International Short Film Festival in Nijmegen and BG, that will take place from 13-17 March 2013.
In the past three years, they have seen some very interesting, motivational and beautiful student short films that were selected for the Breaking Shorts competition. Now, they’re hoping to receive a lot of those recently completed student films again so Breaking Ground and Go Short can set up once more a programme which you cannot miss.
Call For Entries:
Send in your film for the Go Short International Short Film Festival of 2013 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The best student film will win a prize and all of the films will also compete for the Audience Award.
Want to submit your film?
All (geographical) European Student shorts completed after March 1, 2011
(max 40 minutes) are eligible for this competition.
Deadlines:
For films made between March 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011: August 17, 2012
For films made in 2012: November 1, 2012

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
Come to Prague and discover the city from a different perspective! Register for the second edition of international short film workshop and festival Kino Kabaret Praha 2012 which will take place 24-29 September at Prague’ s NoD club (Dlouhá 33, Prague 1). The experimental space NoD will serve as a production meeting place, base for postproduction and also screening place of the freshly made films in 2 x 60 hours.
Kino Kabaret is opened for all DIRECTORS, DOPs, SOUND ENGINEERS, ACTORS, EDITORS, SCREENWRITERS, MUSIC COMPOSERS & MUSICIANS, MAKE-UP ARTISTS, COSTUME DESIGNERS, ART DIRECTORS, VFX, 2D, 3D ARTISTS, ASSISTANTS and anyone who is interested to take part in fun/low-budget/adrenalin filmmaking!
This year we will have also SILENT SCREENING night, so we welcome all MUSICIANS to take part and compose music for the silent films which will be produced during Kino Kabaret.
Kino Kabaret is a non-competition concept of filmmaking. All the filmmakers make films for pleasure, they cooperate with other international filmmakers and learn from each other under this motto: “Do well with nothing, do better with little and do it right now!“

We accept up to 80 applicants from all over the world on first come, first-served basis. The registration fee for the whole event is only 28 EUR and includes free breakfast at the kinolab for the whole week and a free accommodation at local participants’ places. BOOK OF PROJECTS 2013!
The second round of European Short Pitch will start on 1st of March in Luxembourg in collaboration with Discovery Zone, The Luxembourg City Film Festival and you can already have a look at the Book of Projects where you'll find all information about the 25 selected projects of European Short Pitch 2013! To kick off this second round, on 1st of March we'll be hosting a Panel Discussion, moderated by Matthieu Darras, to talk about the spread of co-production in the short film world. With the participation of Louise Bellicaud & Ron Dyens (Sacrebleu), Amel Bouzid (Novak Prod) & Marcell Gerő(Campfilm), Kaśka Krośny (East of West Cinema AB) & Joanna Solecka (Wajda Studio), Martin Repka and Daniele Segre (Redibis Film). CALL FOR PROJECTS - CLOSED!
This is the moment you've all been waiting for. NISI MASA – European Network For Young Cinema is proud to announce the Call for Projects for its 7th edition of EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH.
EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH is an initiative aimed at promoting European coproduction of short films which combines a scriptwriting workshop in residency, an on-line session and a Coproduction Forum bringing together scriptwriters and industry professionals from all over Europe.
EUROPEAN SHORT PITCH 2013 will consist of two main events:
1. The Scriptwriting Workshop: 8th to 13rd January 2013 in Zagreb (Croatia)
2. The Coproduction Forum: 1st to 3rd March in Luxembourg City (Luxembourg)
NISI MASA is calling for projects from writers, directors and producers (aged between 18-35 years old) with international short film projects in development. Your nationality or country of residence should be one of the member countries of the MEDIA Programme (European Union + Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland). European Short Pitch will also select up to 3 projects from non-member countries of the MEDIA Programme where NISI MASA has a member organisation: Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Russia and Ukraine.
