FILMMAKING WORKSHOP - TRENCIN, SLOVAKIA
New Pictures of the Old World workshop: Trencianske Teplice, Slovakia
Artfilm IFF (www.artfilm.sk/) in association with NISI MASA organised a filmmaking workshop during the 16th International Artfilm Festival from June 27th to July 6th 2008 in Trencianske Teplice/Trencin, Slovakia.
During the workshop, 4 groups of participants (from Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia) found inspiration for their films from the old Slovak classic by Dusan Hanak – Pictures of the Old World (Obrazy stareho sveta), 1972. The workshop was led by filmmaker Zelimir Zilnik.
The workshop culminated with the screening ceremony of the films by the participants, followed by the screening of the original Pictures of the Old World.
