adarte_logo_v_english_horizontal-01Ad Arte Foundation of Cultural Education (Fundacja Edukacji Kulturalnej Ad Arte) became part of the NISI MASA Network in May 2013. Based in Poland, they were born to promote young filmmakers from Poland all around Europe.

Ad Arte Foundation started its activity in 2003 and they have been effectively promoting audiovisual culture in Poland and abroad since then. The Foundation operates on the verge of various areas of culture and art. It organizes interdisciplinary events, film shows, exhibitions and workshops as well as theatrical film distribution.The Foundation specializes in popularizing short film forms and it has been presenting them in a number of cities all over the country for years. Ad Arte is the initiator of Short Waves Festival which visits cities in Poland and abroad every year and its main part takes place in Poznań. Moreover, the Foundation organizes short film shows under an authorial cycle World Shorts and in cooperation with Future Shorts, Shorts International and Manhattan Short.The Foundation’s activity is largely based on cooperation with partners that include, among others, The City of Poznań, The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and Polish Film Institute.

Submissions for Short Waves 2016 (15-20 March) are OPEN for short films, in two competition categories: POZNAŃ OPEN (fiction films, documentaries, animations, video clips as well as experimental) and DANCES WITH CAMERA, focused on dance topic: http://shortwaves.pl/en/submissions
