Nisimazine KVIFF 2017 Open Call

by June 2, 2017

This July, Nisimazine is back in Karlovy Vary! We’ll be in the beautiful spa town, between June 30 and July 9, to discover the newest offerings from directors of the Main Competition, the East of the West section, Forum of Independents, and Documentary Competition, as well as from the most promising talents fresh out of film schools all around Europe.

KVIFF is one of the oldest film festivals in the world – it will be celebrating its 52nd edition this year, and a reference for cinema from Central and Eastern Europe. Films from this region are to be found throughout the programme. They also have an exclusive focus – East of the West, a section, which includes films from countries of the former communist block.

KVIFF will host another edition of Future Frames, a programme created and supported by European Film Promotion. Future Frames puts in the spotlight 10 young directors, freshly graduated from some of Europe’s best films schools. This year’s selected filmmakers and films are available here.

To apply, please fill in the application form available here by 23:59 CET on the 15th of June. Please read below for more details on the application and selection process.
