The filmmaking project Istanbul Express: Exploring Multilingualism Across Europe, organized by NISI MASA will start in 3 European cities, in Tallinn (Estonia), San Sebastian (Spain) and Turin (Italy), on 20th of September. 45 young European filmmakers in 3 trains will stop in 23 cities in Europe and arrive in Istanbul after 3 weeks of travel. All together 15 short documentaries on the topic of multilingualism will be shot on the way and edited and screened in Istanbul.

This blog is the most up-to-date source for information on the project. The authors and contributors of this blog are the staff of NISI MASA European Office, organizers, coordinators, tutors and all of the 45 participants. Once the trains start rolling on the 20th of September everybody will write about their experiences on the journey.
