Nisimazine Tallinn @ POFF Black Nights IFF

November 19, 2015 @ 8:00 am - November 26, 2015 @ 10:59 pm

The last Nisimazine workshop of 2015, taking place at the impressive Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia.

Already on its 6th edition, Nisimazine Tallinn Black Nights is one of the highlights of the year for us.

Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival is a single case of success in Europe. Set at the end of the film calendar, its huge film program reads as a compilation of some of the best films the year had to offer. Since recently, the event took a giant leap forward as it became part of an elite list of film events regarded as A-list film festivals. As such the event built on its existing competition platforms and is now widely considered as one of the key film competitions of the year, with a large number of influential film premieres as well.  Adding this to its many side section, which include thematic screenings and short film competitions, it is safe to say these Tallinn Black Nights are a unique chance to discover a wide range of cinematic experience. And let’s not forget, the setting could hardly be more unique, as the city of Tallinn and its historical gorgeous looking streets have many secrets to be revealed

As such, once again we will gather a team of young writers, photographers and video-bloggers from across Europe to cover one of the most famous and influential film festivals in the world.

Here you can read our 2014 edition of Nisimazine Tallinn!

Nisimazine is organized by NISI MASA’s Head of Debate Department, Fernando Vasquez,  and is one of our flagship projects. Nisimazine represents our contribution to supporting the craft of film criticism by searching for new talents in this area. Each year we bring young film critics to major European festivals and stimulate them to explore new forms and challenge the existing ones. An overview of the best young directors we discovered this year and their films are will be available in the 2015, pending for online publishing in December 2015. Until then, we kindly invite you to explore the 2014 Nisimazine Yearbook as well as the reviews and interviews collected in 2015 from the below mentioned festivals on
