PRODUCTION OF "TOURIST"

The script of this film was winner of the 5th edition of the NISI MASA European Script Contest for short films, the theme of which was “Tourist”.

This film was directed by its awarded scriptwriter, the polish Matej Subieta.

DVD SILENCE - 4TH SCRIPT CONTEST

In 2005, the theme of the 4th edition of the annual NISI MASA Script Contest was "Silence". The 3 winning films were produced and have been compiled into a DVD.

Cinetrain 2009 now completed!

 After last year's successful workshop from Moscow to Vladivostok, this year the Cinetrain ventured into new territories!

Coorganized by MiruMir Studio and the association Moviement, with the support of the Union of Filmmakers of the Russian federation, Cinetrain 2009 - Europe Asia: Cultural Neighboring took place from 25th of September to 20th of October 2009.

Script Contest Jury Meeting, Brussels

From the 3rd – 8th November 2009 the 8th international Script Contest Jury Meeting took place in Belgium during the 36th Brussels International Independent Film Festival.

Young representatives from each local NISI MASA organisation  took part in this year’s script contest by gathering in Brussels, each of them equipped with the best script(s) of their country.

NISIMAZINE RIO (BRAZIL) 2009

From 23rd September to 4th October 2009 The Nisimazine Rio workshop took place at the Festival do Rio (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), one of the most important international cinema events in Latin America!

8 young European and Latin American journalists were responsible for creating daily issues of NISIMAZINE RIO, distributed to festival audiences and available online at www.nisimazine.eu.

Vertigo/Nisimazine Lima (Peru) 2009

From the 6th to the 15th of August 2009 NISI MASA organised a film journalism workshop in partnership with the Festival de Lima and the FIPRESCI

 

8 aspiring young film critics, 1 photographer, and 1 video blogger took part. 4 participants from Europe and 6 from Latin America (2 from Peru, 4 from other countries) were all invited to attend the Festival de Lima – Encuentro Latinoamericano del Cine (Peru) in order to form a truly international editorial team.

8th European Script Contest closed on the 31st of July 2009.

The theme this year was......... "TABOO”!

12 winners are awarded to attend European Short Pitch, an intensive scriptwriting and pitching workshop, divided in two sessions.

A MATTER OF TASTE

The Matter of Taste project is an exploration of European food culture through cinema.

Selected shorts and documentaries on food-related topics were shown during a special event at the Lago Film Fest (Italy) between 24th - 30th July 2009.

During this 7-day festival programme, screenings and debates were complimented by special culinary events. A book and a DVD of the project have now been published and distributed, and the films have been screened in other locations all over Europe!

NISIMAZINE CANNES 2009

For the fourth year, NISI MASA organised a film journalism workshop at the Cannes Film Festival, from 13th - 24th May 2009!

 

8 participants (aged 18-30) from Europe and Latin America were invited to Cannes to form an editorial team, and created together a daily magazine called 'Nisimazine Cannes'.
