What is «Generation Campus»?
Generation Campus is an International Film School, a program of creative and professional development of young, talented filmmakers, created using the model of Berlinale Talent Campus, the most effective training program in the European film industry. The campus is held annually since 2007. Consecutively an international film festival with an extensive business program would become a strategic partner of the program this year.
The Training Course is absolutely free of charge. The participants are selected on a competitive basis through out Russia, CIS, EU and other countries.They s are introduced to the world of filmmaking technologies based on the specific examples, and the entire amount of information received from the professionals in practice.
Under the program, participants are trained in groups of cinematic professions, attend lectures, workshops and individual consultations with masters of various cinematic disciplines. Also during the program, participants work on a training short film.
In previous years, the following experts participated in the program: producers Sergey Selyanov, Igor Tolstunov, Natalia Mokritskaya, Vibeke Windeløv, Paul Brown, actresses Ingeborga Dapk?nait?, Daria Moroz, director of photography Christopher Doyle, time-honored Alby James the head of the Berlinale Script lab of Berlinale Talent Campus at the Berlin International Film Festival, Hugo Heppell a university lecturer from Leeds (UK), Andrey Mousin a senior art director of BBDO and others. The participants' projects are considered with special attention of the leading domestic film companies and festival programs.
Generation Campus-2011 was held from 16th to 25th of October in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The five labs engaged young producers, directors, scriptwriters, DOPs, directors, documentary filmmakers and actors. As a result 64 people from Russia and other countries were trained.

We have had involved colleagues from the most important and influential European training programs that helped us to bring the campus to a new level. It was also important to increase a quantitative composition of the participants - almost three times bigger. In addition to three regular labs - producers', directors' and scriptwriters' - the year 2011 year had the opportunity to give training to actors, DOPs, and documentary filmmakers.
We are confident that the Generation Campus 2011 became a place where young, talented and ambitious filmmakers made new contacts and refined their ideas.”
